💰 Deposits & Payments

• A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot on any BGMF trip.
• Full payment or a payment plan must be set up at the time of booking through TravelJoy.
• Payment plan installments are due on the dates specified at booking. Missed payments may result in forfeiture of your spot without refund of amounts paid.
• All prices are listed in USD. BGMF is not responsible for currency conversion fees.
• Prices are subject to change until your booking is confirmed and deposit is received.

↩️ Cancellation & Refunds

• 90+ days before departure: Full refund minus the non-refundable deposit.
• 60–89 days before departure: 50% refund of amounts paid beyond the deposit.
• 30–59 days before departure: 25% refund of amounts paid beyond the deposit.
• Under 30 days before departure: No refund. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
• All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
• BGMF reserves the right to cancel a trip due to insufficient enrollment. In that case, a full refund will be issued.

🛡️ Travel Insurance

• Travel insurance is required for all BGMF trips.
• You are responsible for purchasing your own travel insurance policy that covers: trip cancellation, medical emergencies, emergency evacuation, and lost/delayed baggage.
• Proof of travel insurance may be requested prior to departure.
• BGMF is not liable for any costs, losses, or damages that would have been covered by travel insurance.
• We recommend purchasing insurance within 14 days of your initial deposit to maximize coverage benefits.

🌸 Code of Conduct

• BGMF trips are safe, inclusive spaces for Black women. All participants are expected to treat fellow travelers, guides, and locals with kindness and respect.
• Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the trip without refund.
• Participants are responsible for their own behavior and its consequences, including any legal or financial penalties.
• Please be on time for all group activities. We operate as a group and late arrivals affect everyone.
• Excessive alcohol consumption or substance use that disrupts the group experience is grounds for removal.

📋 Liability Waiver

By booking a BGMF trip, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Black Girls Making Friends (BGMF) acts as a trip organizer and coordinator. We work with third-party vendors including hotels, airlines, transportation providers, and activity operators. BGMF is not liable for the acts, omissions, or negligence of these third parties.
• Travel involves inherent risks. BGMF is not responsible for injury, illness, death, loss of property, or other damages arising from participation in any trip activity.
• BGMF is not responsible for losses due to force majeure events including natural disasters, pandemics, government travel advisories, strikes, or other events beyond our control. Travel insurance is your primary protection in these cases.
• BGMF reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary, accommodations, or activities when necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.
• By completing your booking you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these terms in full.
